UKIYO II

Ukiyo II is a minimalist 2 bedroom villa in Pererenan with a strong architectural edge. Built from raw concrete and wood, the space leans into Japanese design influences — clean lines, open layout, and a mix of warm and cold textures.
Our next stop: Ukiyo II in Pererenan. First thing we did? Jump straight into the pool. The outside area is big and open, perfect for relaxing and tanning. The villa has a beautiful balance between raw concrete and warm wood. Strong shapes, textured surfaces, and thoughtful details everywhere you look.

Ukiyo is all about balance — between inside and out, strong and soft, warm and cool.
And somehow, it just works.
The inside feels spacious, especially when you slide open the living room doors. Big windows bring in plenty of light, and the plants around the edges give that outdoor vibe even when you’re inside. We especially loved the Japanese-inspired interior and touch of Wabi-Sabi, and having our home fragrances with us made the experience even better. It’s a small thing, but it changes everything! The space smelled like home. And even now, when we catch the same scent again, it takes us right back to a quiet and sunny morning in Bali.

Overall, what we loved most about Ukiyo was the contrast — raw and refined, cool concrete and warm wood, light and shadow, indoor and outdoor living. Like yin and yang, everything felt in balance. It was a beautiful stay, we left more zen than when we arrived, and we’d definitely come back for another escape.
